Performs well in all soil conditions

No concrete required

How are helical piles installed?

The piles are installed using a mini excavator or excavator and are driven into the ground much like a large screw. As they rotate into place, they penetrate the soil until they reach a stable bearing layer and become firmly anchored.

Our certified installers use advanced equipment to measure installation torque, which indicates the resistance and strength achieved during installation. Higher torque values generally mean greater anchoring strength and increased load-bearing capacity, ensuring a strong and reliable foundation.

Do your helical piles meet building code guidelines?

Depending on your location, GoliathTech helical piles are engineered to comply with the applicable local building codes and requirements. They have undergone extensive testing and hold evaluation reports with the Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC), where products are assessed under the National Building Code of Canada (NBC). They are also certified by the International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), where they are reviewed for compliance with the International Building Code (IBC) and the International Residential Code (IRC).

GoliathTech helical piles are fully code-compliant and designed to meet strict regulatory standards across North America.

Do you offer an engineering service?

We provide our network of certified installers with a dedicated engineering service specialized in helical piles. Simply submit your plans to your GoliathTech Certified Installer, and we will forward them directly to our engineering team for review and support.

When can I start building on a GoliathTech helical pile?

Once the helical piles are installed, you can proceed with your project immediately. Unlike concrete foundations, there is no curing or drying time required, allowing construction to continue without delay.

What are the advantages of helical pile foundations over traditional cement or concrete foundations?

Compared to traditional concrete foundations, helical piles offer several key advantages. They allow for fast, straightforward installation with no curing or pour time required, making them a more efficient solution on many projects. In many cases, they can also be more cost-effective over the long term.

Helical piles can be installed to reach specific soil depths that provide optimal stability, something conventional concrete foundations don’t always allow. In addition, they feature a proprietary anchoring system, strong resistance to harsh weather conditions, and are installed with high precision to meet strict industry standards.

Have GolitathTech helical piles been tested?

They certainly do. GoliathTech helical piles are engineered to meet some of the most demanding industry standards and carry multiple certifications recognized around the world. They have been independently evaluated by organizations such as CCMC and ICC-ES, which assess and approve construction products for use in Canada and the United States.

For added safety and peace of mind, it’s important to choose helical piles that have undergone rigorous testing and certification, as this is often required by many municipalities and insurance providers.

What is the life expectancy of a screw pile?

Generally speaking, a helical pile can last 75 years or more under normal conditions. The actual lifespan can vary depending on soil properties such as pH levels, moisture, and the presence of chlorides. While engineering codes typically require a minimum design life of 50 years, helical piles often exceed that expectation and perform well well beyond the minimum requirement.
